Does PSA grade Topps progressive proofs?

i'm talking about the Topps proofs sometimes offered on ebay by "thetoppsvault". if you haven't seen em, theyre usually offered as a lot of 2-4 "progressive proofs" (4 of the same card, each with a different color). theyre often graded by Alan Hager's grading company, ASA or AGA or something to that effect. i have yet to see one graded by PSA, do they grade em at all?

i called psa customer service on this same question. i have a 76 topps mickey cochrene blank back proof.their answer was it must have a number to be considered for grading. i really didn't understand that answer because the card does have a number it's just not on the front of the card. oh well things may have changed.

JACKSTRAW - That doesn't make sense, many card issues do not have #'s, like the T206 tobacco cards...jay
  • As far as I know, they do not grade them, and neither does GAI as you can see:

  • They don't grade proofs because of the way they are cut. The same is true of blank backs. Beckett does grade proofs and blank backs.
