1854-O Half dollar. Need a little help.

I found this 1854-O Seated Liberty half on eBay for sale.It looks like a nice coin but the toning makes me a little bit leary about it. It looks like a decent coin. The surfaces look really clean. What do you all think about it.image

  • the photo angle kind of makes you wonder but at the price it's a steal even if cleaned. i'd pay a few bux more myself.

  • What is it you're worried about?
This is the most common of the seated half dollars. If you don't like it, theres a lot more to choose from.

Seven day no question asked return- bid price less postage & eBay fees.
Buying a coin based only on a picture is always a little risky.

To try and help with your question you might want to be a bit more specific. I don't check ebay much but when someone links an auction with a toned raw coin that I suspect may be cleaned and re-toned. I check their other offerings. Your answer may be there. I'm not saying this coin has been cleaned and re-toned for sure, and that may not be your concern. If it is, that's why I say check what else they have for sale.image

  • No reason to worry about it now. It has gone higher then I would want to pay at this time.image
