What's not to like? These are circulating issues which weren't discovered until
well after their release. There are rapidly growing numbers of people collecting
circulating coinage and some of these are pretty tough. New varieties are being
discovered on an ongoing basis and it is likely to cross into other denominations.
The mint has been using proof reverses on coins for years.

There are millions of folders being sold and it's just a matter of time before they
include spaces for the major circulating varieties.

    CAM-

The 99's are extremely rare, the 98's are tough and the 2000 are not easy but worth holding. I would hold all 3 dates if you can find 'em in change, which is a long shot.

  • I gave my young relative a new Lincoln cent album, the Whitman (high end), starting with 1996, his birthyear. Filled up the set with BU reds+proofs. In the 2000-p slot, I added a type 2. Then I planted a seed in the young boys mind, that there is a Bu Lincoln in the set that is worth around $50.00. See if you can find it.

Someday, I'll show him which one it is, but for now, it's a mystery to him.
