Canadian Dollars - first attempt

This is my first attempt at using a picture I have uploaded to a website to get around the 50 kb posting - I hope it is not too big.
If it works this is the first picture of the Canadian Commemorative dollar set my wife gave me for christmas - I will photo the other group next...I hope

  • I think I have it - I guess you have to go to the page and open the photo rather than linking directly to the photo.
There is another whole 12 coin Capital holder with the rest of the coins but the holder is a dark blue and is a devil to try to photo - I will try again. Thanks Don.

Oldshep-very nice set of coins. The Capitol holder looks like a nice way to store and display them.image

  • Thanks for the courtesy link - I don't know how you do it - I am always limited to 50 kb for attached pictures.

  • It's easy to do Shep.
Just go to the picture you uploaded, RIGHT click it, click on properties, Copy the entire http address, then come to the forum to post a message and type:
[img] then paste the http address you copied & then type /img but enclose the /img in [brackets] again. (If I typed those brackets in this message, it would just try to activate that code, and show up as a red x.)

  • Thanks Glenn - I will try it next time.

  • Instead of typing the IMG-/IMG codes, just click on the little picture in the row of buttons above the text box, between the U and the "http" with a chain link. When a new text box opens, paste the URL, click OK, and image

  • Shep:

That is a beautiful set. I've only got the iceberg coin and love it. Where did your wife get the set?

  • Thanks for the nice comments all. Tade - this set - 24 of the Canadian dollars - I spotted in a local coin shop months ago, I was telling my wife about them and was excited because I had never seen such a nice collection for sale. When I went back to the shop about a month later they were gone, the shop owner said he knew they would go fast - my wife had gone in a bought them and stuck them away until Christmas. I had no clue and was very suprised. The second set is very hard to photograph because most of the earlier coins did not have the frosted cameo devices and the other capital holder is blue and highly reflective - a real challange.
