Dumb question: custom templates on eBay

I'm getting ready to start selling my cards on eBay and not ever having done this before, I have a dumb question. I see that you can choose from one of many nice templates to describe the merchandise. Is it possible to copy and paste an html file that I created in FrontPage/HTML into the appropriate place? On scanned photos of the cards, do the images get uploaded into eBay or are they linked to a webspace that I would have? Thanks.

  • Yes, you can use all of the HTML you want on ebay, with some minor exceptions. If you have your own background, scans, etc., just copy and paste the HTML. Sometimes the preview won't look correct, but once it's uploaded to ebay, it will be right. Just check your HTML first and take out the header lines if you have them in your file (i.e. <HEAD> ) - Ebay already has this in place in their template.

Download the small Turbo lister program off ebay and have a blast at making listings that look nice.
The program just needs to be updated every week so there is no delay when you finally upload it.

Also if you do decide to use that program be sure there is plenty of hard drive space on your computer or it will not work at all.A couple months ago I loaded about 800 things into it and my temporairy computer had a 4GB hard drive which made 5 days of preperation go to waste.

Trust me when I say you will love the program, other than the problem I stated above I've had zero problems with it.
