Its a crap shoot on Ebay but sometimes you get lucky. Tell me what you think this grades. I know its a picture but take a stab anyway.

The first coin came from one seller and two other coins that are pretty nice came from a different seller. Here is a 25P from the second seller.

The 1925 should go MS64 FSB and the other is alittle tough to call from the scan. I like them both...

The first coin needs to be seen in hand. The picture makes it look a little to brown. Still many people do not like this type of tone.

I really like it when Tim and Marc say the coins shown are AU58. This usually makes them Lock Mint State coins. image Lets see what a couple of other folks may say.

  • 1924: 63? I don't mind this kind of toning

    1925: 58? 63FB?
  • the top one is a 58 or a real poor strike 63 if you look at the prominent portions of the hair.................................the 25 i would say is a 63 fb.....................imageimagePIERRE

This is interesting. Most have pegged the 25P at what I would say the coin is. Its a Tweener in my opinion. If submitted the coin would go AU58 upto MS63FB. For the date it is worth a shot. Just maybe the obverse luster is going to hold the coin back. No problems on the reverse.

Now for the 24P. I will give you another picture. The coin is hard to get a good picture of. Anyway this new picture should do away with the idea it is softly struck. The hair on a Merc just does not get much better. Maybe on 20P's and 23P's but not on many other dates. I'll let my opinion on this coin ride for awhile. Maybe the last statement tells you I like the coin.

Any other opinions on the 24P ? Here is another raw merc that was purchased. I cannot remember if this one was Ebay or not.
