2 box break - '03 Fleer Tradition FB (just FYI)
I opened 2 hobby boxes (both had been purchased from the same dealer at the same time). Collation on the first box was ugly on the surface - the same card was often found in consecutive spots (2nd and 3rd card down) in the pack. However, the box (36 packs, 10 cards per pack) did produce 275 of the 300 different cards. Collation on the second box was directly complementary to the first box - not only did I get all the missing cards for the set, but they were also almost without exception, found in the 3rd spot down in the pack. [I didn't look through collation of that box independently, but it had no duplicates within the same pack.]
A few of the cards had rough edges, but there were no other condition problems
Game-used cards are 1 per box (basic single-GU Classic Combinations cards are 1 per 2 boxes, and the other types are 1 per 2 boxes combined)
Standouts cards are 1 per box, and Throwbacks cards are 1 per 2 boxes.
The other insert cards are serial numbered, and exact odds aren't given (Tiffany parallel set - #/200, Rookie Sensations - #/1250, and Classic Combinations #/1500, 750, or 375). Additionally, 1 pack per box has 5 of the 20 Ultra Update rookies (in the design of 2003 Fleer Ultra).
Box 1 highlights:
Classic Combinations Jeremy Shockey jersey (Andre Johnson also pictured on card)
Fred Biletnikoff Throwbacks
Clinton Portis Standouts
Ultra Update cards of Dewayne Robertson, B.J. Askew, Billy McMullen, Michael Haynes, and Domanick Davis
Harrington/Charles Rogers Classic Combinations #/750
Plaxico Burress/Charles Rogers Classic Combinations #/1500
Dewayne Robertson Rookie Sensations #/1250
Nate Burleson Rookie Sensations #/1250
Tyrone Calico Rookie Sensations #/1250
Zach Thomas Tiffany #/200
Dennis Northcutt Tiffany #/200
Raynoch Thompson Tiffany #/200
Stephen Davis Tiffany #/200
Chad Hutchinson Tiffany #/200
Box 2 highlights:
Classic Combinations Ronnie Lott jersey (Roy Williams also pictured on card) [card pictures Lott in a 49er uniform, and that's the logo on the back, but it's a Raider (black) swatch]
Tom Brady Standouts
Ultra Update cards of Doug Gabriel, Andre Woolfolk, Jimmy Kennedy, Bethel Johnson, and Nate Burleson
Too Tall Jones/T. Suggs Classic Combinations #/1500
Plaxico Burress/Charles Rogers Classic Combinations #/1500 [this card and the one from the first box have consecutive serial #s]
Rex Grossman Rookie Sensations #/1250
Taylor Jacobs Rookie Sensations #/1250
Randy McMichael Tiffany #/200
Deuce McAllister Tiffany #/200
Amani Toomer Tiffany #/200
Priest Holmes Banner Season Tiffany #/200
Byron Leftwich Tiffany #001/200
Box 1 sure wasn't bad, but Box 2 gave me a GU of one of my favorite players plus the Leftwich #ed rookie.
Considering that these boxes were apparently less than $1 per pack (they were Christmas presents, and I wasn't told the exact price, I would call them a very good deal. I estimate that no more than 12,000 hobby boxes were produced.
