It's clearly the silver jubilee crown from 1977... odd thing is that the coin has been altered so it says 1877.

The seller has several 'unknown coins' including:

  • The date has been altered on the first one, I am pretty sure..... An original in BU condition sells for about $1.50...
  • I have that crown - 25 pence comm. coin and it is really interesting what means that date: 1877?
As Glenn said 1.5 $ is the price for UNC , but CuNi coin. They have also 6$ coins, if I'm not mistaken in First Day package airtites.

  • That Mexican piece doesn't look like a counterfeit does it?

I have seen the British coin posted here before. Lloyd already said it all.

  • What's the problem with the crown's date? It was obviously a product of the Nostradamus Branch of the Royal Mintimageimageimage

The 8 reals, on the other hand, is absolute proof that there are parallel universes, and things sometimes trade places. Coin collectors over there are wondering about that strange "United States of America" legend on a Prince John of Kennedy half sovereign.image
