Numismatic Christmas Gift from my Dog

As LamminL, the dog and I were doing the gift exchange last night I kept asking (jokingly) if the next one contained the thaler. While the thaler did never did show up, this did:
A big honkin' book of medieval coins covering everything in the neighborhood of modern day France! What a good dog, especially compared to the stinkin' scarf knitted by my wife.

The dog (Paxil) did indeed have a banner food day: chicken, fish, sour cream & onion chips, vanilla frosting, popcorn and bacon. He looks a bit lethargic today, so its best Christmas comes but once a year.
