Poll - "New" from eBay...arrived today!!! IKEs

So, I got into Ikes a little bit and am looking for some nice specimens without paying a mint (hah hah).
Anyway, I needed a 1973-s brown box Ike since that was the one I didn't have.
Greysheet is around $20 for them.

Looking at ebay, that was around the price with s/h making it a little more. And, I like to gamble, so I saw an auction that had an unopened 5pack.
Some that no one has picked through.
I really only wanted 2-3, but for the chance to get them unsearch with the tape/seal still over the box, I couldn't resist.

I think i may keep 2-3 and sell the other 2 on b/s/t forum or ebay.

for ~$100 for an unopened 5 pack, do you think I did good?
should I maybe keep them unopened???

you probably should open them and make sure you didn't get some rocks or GSA CC dollars by mistake

I think I will keep 2 and give 1 to my mom in her XMas stocking tomorrow morning and sell 2.

I opened it.

3 really nice ones, 1 nice one, and 1 that almost looks marked up but since it is a proof, I am wondering if it is just very spotty toning...hmmmmm.

She kind of is a collector and I would never give something lower to my mother. I gave her one that is toning (kind of haze on the peripheral area right now) with nice clean fields.

Wife got food poisoning or something and was meeting the porcelian god this AM, so we still haven't done gifts so mom hasn't seen the coins yet.
Kid is watching a new Scooby Doo dvd from his stocking though......Scooby is great! Keeps the 22mo old kid occupied
