Toned Ike

Question for you Ike guys - I have about a dozen brown box Ikes.
3 of them are turning blue such as this one,and the rest appear normal.
Is it rather common for these Ikes to turn blue ?

Many brown Ikes have developed that coloring... it's nothing rare

A lot of them get that cloudy blue look.

Naw not for me. I think they look gorgeous and haunting like this,and I hope the effect increases.
I have more than enough that look like they should.
I'm just wondering what causes just the fields to turn blue,and not the highlights.
