And now.... the top 10 descriptions sellers use to sell their junk....

Number...

10) "A nice original example" (so dark you can't read the date)
9) "An all white coin" (Sure, one that's completely dull with no cartwheel luster)
8) "Grayish olive toning over soft mint luster" (Quick give me the auction #, I have to bid)
7) "Micro-ticks are absolutely minimal" (You wonder if they posted the wrong picture)
6) "An all white gem blazer...... with toning...." (HUH? I never knew that was possible....)
5) "...and has an attractive yellow patina" (Now THAT'S a double negative)
4) "PCGS.com values this coin at $ 400!!!!" (O, BTW, I hope look past the fact I'm selling an ACG coin...)
3) "...that doesn't destract" (Unless of course...... you're LOOKING at it)
2) "The devices are clear and visable" (As they try to keep you focused AWAY from the rest of the coin....)

And the number one description to sell junk IS........

1) "And has a shot at the next grade up!!" (yea, that's why they didn't resubmit it themselves.....)

Post an ugly coin! No return on this one....

Link to one butt ugly coin!

We need someone here to buy that thing, crack, dip, & resubmit just for fun! I've never done it before but maybe someone here with
experience could do it & post the results just for fun!

  • My favorite is the word "ESTATE" in an auction. Like that makes the coin worth more.

    MS70,

I don't think that Peace would dip well. If one were able to remove that toning it would have to be a pretty aggressive approach to do so, and I think it would end up being a very dull, lifeless coin. It's too bad because, judging by the image, that's a very nice coin otherwise.
