Although I usually only collect darkside coins, mainly English and Canadian, I do on very rare occasions pick up a US coin. Recently I bought the coin pictured below. What is the approx. value of this coin? Is the toning craze over? Any replies and opinions is greatly appreciated. I should mention the obverse is mainly white with just a slight cresent of colorful toning on the rim from 1:00-2:00.

1888 is a common date, but its hard to tell the value (or condition) by just seeing the reverse. Do you know the grade (MS64 perhaps)?

that coin could fetch $100. IMO.
