As an eBay bidder (and seller), and a board member, I would like to address #3 (as I have no knowledge of most of the other items). If you place an auction with a low starting bid without a reserve price, you take your chances that the item you are selling will be noticed and popular enough to get what you consider to be a fair bid!
Many bidders will toss in a low bid early on, just to get your auction on their bidding page to keep an eye on it. Very frequently, the REAL bids don't show up until the last few minutes of the auction. Bidders don't want to start a bidding war early on and drive the price up early! It's a common practice!
By ending your auctions early, you may very well have lost some significant sales! (Or saved yourself from a significant loss, but you'll never know now, will you!)
I'll bet the people who were watching your auctions, and/or bidding on them are as perturbed as you are, and will probably NOT bid on your auctions again!
If you don't want to run the risk of losing money on eBay, start your auctions with an openning bid that you would be willing to sell at!
This was meant to be constructive criticism, and NOT in any way meant to be insulting. Take it however you will and have a Merry Christmas!

coin sales on eBay are hit/miss
you can not expect to make money on every coin
some coins surprise you (both ways - today I sent a coin that got $50 more than I thought and another the buyer pd $4 including shipping (hated to see that one go)
I had a set of nickels that were on for 7 days - was about $35 with 15 hrs to close - slowly drifted up - around $100 with 2 hrs to go - closed at $160 - $50+ bump in last minute
buyers (both collectors and buyer/sellers) in the coin division are becoming increasingly savy
many do this now -> put on watch list and follow the activity
have a sniper program to put in last bid OR
watch close and decide to pull the trigger or not
one of the reasons is they do not want other people searching on what they are bidding on - another is they have a good idea of a very particilar 'niche' - where they know other bidders and values
if you piss off your buyers, you LOSE - because they will skip your auctions
selling a $20 for $3 every once in awhile is probably good PR - just don't do it asll the time
make sure when you are buying a $20 coin, that it is a $20+ coin, not a $3-5 coin
good luck - a tough nut to crack with eBay fees, PAYPAL fees, shipping costs
have you tried buying on Yahoo -> selling on eBay? - works well for some items
if your PCGS PR67 DCAM had awesome colors, I did not see it - work on digital photography skills
Some eBay buyers are buying for local/national show sale - do NOT let it bug you that they bought a coin from you for $20 and sold it at the show for $100+
the national show has a few thousand $$$ in costs associated with it that selling on eBay does not have
GOOD LUCK
You make a lot cents
By the way, I have some toned Proof INDIANS on the way that look
just like your ICON.

Cut him some slack as to these auctions and give him a chance next go around.

I am very pleased on the number of times we have done a transaction. He is very fair, and packs his coins with extreme care. Maybe he does a few too many ttt's on his lots. That really doesn't bother me.
On a closing note, I hope everyone had a good Christmas!
Happy Holidays,
Sam
