  • Looks like someone had 2 worthless coins, so he put the coins together & hit them with a Hammer!

  • Mutilated coin, it has been squashed down by the date and has had a coin squashed into it up at the top and not done well. It has flattened the back and simply dented the obverse only managing to transfer a single star image directly above the hair bun. All the rest of the stars visible are from the original coin. They are a little displaced bcause of the metal moving during the squashing. I wouldn't pay $1 for this coin. The flattening on the reverse in all places shows that it was done on a flat metal plate and not in the coining press
  • I think that is the "ELEPHANT MAN" variety.

    Yep, hammer job.
    You can't clap using only 1 hand nor can you strike a coin using only 1 die.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
