Standing Lib Quarters 1916 vs.1923-S

Over the last five years or so I have noticed that there are substantially more 1916 SLQ's for sale than the 23-S.This is regardless of whether it is an auction or a reputable dealer on the web.Are there any experts out there that can tell??? THX

for sale. I would see a nice PCGS mint state for sale nearly every
couple of weeks on eBay. I bid on a few myself and got some PCGS
MS64 FH's for $7,900, $8,500, and $9,300 in 1999 and 2000. You
could even get a very nice PCGS mint state on eBay with little
problem just a over two years ago. But over the past year
or two that has all changed. The market for this popular coin has
nearly dried up. Collectors saw the potential for this coin and
what a great coin it makes in a type collection, right?
Investors and hoarders have been purchasing these cream of the crop
coins over the past couple of years and are sitting on them while
the price rises. I know of several hoards across the country, 17
in one hoard held by a dealer, a dozen by an investor, over 30 in
one which includes NGC and PCGS coins MS63 and up, and a couple
others I know about, including myself I have a few, but I am a
collector. What infrequently is for sale now are often less
desirable pieces, cleaned etc. The top dealers specializing in
them are having a tough time finding any. Before the coin market
starts peaking out you will see a lot of these prized coins surface
when some of the investors and hoarders start taking their profits.

Ho, ho, ho!
Superior, Heritage and American Numismatic Rarities all have some incredible SLQ's. Dig deep boys, there will be alot of disappointed bidders when the smoke clears. My sights are on a 27-S in MS 66. I lost out this past September but hopefully not again this January.
