1858 SL Die Doubling?

One of my 1858 SL Flyers appears to have doubling on the second 'S' in States and on the 'OF'. I am attaching photos but they are not real clear (sorry I don't have a sophesticated camera set-up). Does anyone know what variety this is and is this fairly common?

Vic, the picture are just too small to see much. Can you make them bigger? I looked through the Snow book and I don't see nothing like this listed. The last time I found an eagle cent with doubling Rick Snow said it was machine doubling even though the seperation was strong enough for the eagle to have two eyes. mike

I only have a 6X magnifier so those pics are as big as I can make them to naturally. Photo software may be able to blow them up--I will try.

What are the characteristics of machine doubling vs. die doubling? Can one small area (like 3 or 4 letters) show machine doubling or would it usually extend to a larger area?

Looks like splitting of the serif on the S in the the first pic. Would be nice to see bigger pics.
