Picked up another cool Toned Mercury today

very cool little coin. Mercs don't come with nice colors like Morgans do. They are much rarer to find with nice color.

I really like the reverse but the obverse on the other hand just takes away from the coin.

I agree the obverse is a little distracting but the reverse more than makes up for it.

JB nice crazy toning indeed - I wonder if it has seen circulation and has since been marvelously toned etc. Seems like some old wear on theb high points - I may be dreaming,..... and I agree with Wayne why all the monster beauties on non full band examples?? Not fair

I don't think it has circulation but maybe some album slide on the high points from the clear plastic cover.

There is absolutely no album slide on it. The breaks in the toning create that illusion, and the only thing detracting about the coin is that its gorgeous.
