In addition to the colors looking right / natural, another thing that makes me think it's original is the way the colors blend together. On many AT coins the bands of color are too distinct and don't blend together in a subtle enough fashion. On this coin, the color change is more gradual and natural looking, as when artists mix one color with others and there are areas where the shades become one, rather than remaining distinct. That said, I am NOT an artist (OR a coin doctor).
I feel it was cleaned then toned in a Wayte Raymond album. Typical look for these.
Coinguy1.... You don't think it's been cleaned? I'm guessing your response was that you don't feel the coin was AT and toned natural. Which is how I feel as well. But what about it being cleaned?
Yeah I know you just covered yourself and don't want to speculate
Edit to add a scan of one I own, that imo is original with Wayte Raymond toning. Without a cleaning first. Just to compare.
Please... Save The Stories, Just Answer My Questions, And Tell Me How Much!!!!!
stman, I can't tell from the images, whether the coin has been cleaned or not. But, the toning, itself, does not automatically cause me to think the coin has been cleaned.

so you are saying Wayte Raymond toning is AT?
I consider toning from a album to be real.
Where's the poll?
