    Alhender22,

I'm sorry, but I actually went to look at your ebay items. When I saw the following quote/update that you added to at least 1 of them, I stopped looking.
My feeling is that if you sell on ebay, you make a committment to sell. Some items will get more than you thought, some less. If you are going to complain and whine about how the bids are going, then you don't need my bidding on your auction.

    Good luck.
(btw.....supercoin also bought and sold coins (regrettably I got home too late for some of his last week) and I believe he took a big hit in at least 1 of his Ikes....but, I didn't see him complaining in the auction for it)

    From an update to item#2211922838
    Ebay auction item

On Dec-23-03 at 11:08:25 PST, seller added the following information:

At this point these bids are SHAMEFUL. I have to buy the coins and make a living by selling them. I dont mind making a small profit, but the bids I am seeing here for PQ coins are absolutely absurd and will not get it the job done. I am going to run these auctions for 24 more hours and if I dont see what I believe is fairness of the part of you the buyers, I am going to end the autions and sell them in other locations. A bargain is a bargain, I like to get one to, but bidding so far isnt close to even a bargain its more like highway robbery. Therefore if you want one or more of the coins you see, bid a fair bid for a PQ coin. Sincerely, BLKCHEVY6.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I saw the same comment! I was going to snipe some of your auctions, but with that arrogance I WILL NOT bid on any of your items!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • bought a coin on 6 Dec for $2.61 and turn around to sell the same one and say:

"At this point these bids are SHAMEFUL. I have to buy the coins and make a living by selling them. haha....yeah....THATS gonna sell coins.

edited for: bought for $2.51, not .61...sorry. image
  • I collect these coins, but with the statement you added to the Ike auction, I won't be buying from you. I expect other potential buyers will be put-off by the comments you made in that auction. Berating bidders just doesn't seem to be a sound marketing strategy in my opinion..

I will keep an eye out for your coins and I will avoid them completely!
  • I'm sorry you feel the way you do. I think you should read my open forum l wrote. This all started over something completely different.

Yesterday I was frustrated with how the auctions were going and with some comments some of the board members were making about what I think are truely authentic coins. I felt like I needed to get how I was feeling off my chest and I did it that way with the comment.

I ended the auctions because the same group of people who were talking about my coins being authentic made accusations the auctions were dishonest because some of the bidders were a large toned coin dealer and one had zero feedbacks.

As for the SBA's yes your right, the prices didnt go up on them until I put the statement on the auctions. I think some people understood
what I was trying to say. Which is you work hard, find nice items
to put up and a certain people who are to cheap to spend the money for nice items all year bid and take advantage of the
season. I made a mistake by not putting a RESERVE ON the items because I thought my normal customers would grab them up. FOR ALL I ADMIT I MADE A MISTAKE ON THE RESERVE, I'm not perfect.

I truely am sorry if my paragraph offend you. I think that if you took the time to say something about what I wrote in the paragraph in the auctions you arent the type of person I was aiming the paragraph at.

Last but not least should you ever change your mind and buy one
of my items, I think you will find price fair, the service great and me
myself going the extra mile to help you out in anyway I can.

so who were you aiming the paragraph at? I dont understand. Idiots who know no better and are bullied into bidding?

If we took time to say something about the paragraph, it's because we're collectors/dealers too and what you did is shameful and wrong to the numismatic community and rude the public in general. If a newby saw that....he/she probably turned tail and ran. Thats not an ethical way to conduct an auction, and certainly not a business.
  • I had those coins up for auction for auction hoping of honest people would pay an honest price for a honest to god good item. I was wrong. Looking back I should have placed a reserve on the auction and will do so in the future.

    Let me get this straight..................

You state: "I had those coins up for auction for auction hoping of honest people would pay an honest price for a honest to god good item."

You are saying I am not honest because I was unwilling to bid what YOU think is an honest price at the beginning of an auction?! image
Perhaps, if you had waited for the auction to actually end, you might have seen a big priuce jump at the end.

People do not like being bullied into higher bids, insulted or being called dishonest!! image

You also said: "MORE TO FOLLOW".....I think you have said enough to let your true colors come shining through! image

    Thanks for the enlightenment.
