Without a doubt, the thread regarding Carlo's Aponte's 72 football set was this message boards finest hour, not just for 2003 but from it's inception. The selflessness and outpouring of support for a member in need was absolutely incredible. That thread showed what these message boards are supposed to be about. Most of the people reaching out at that time had never met Carlo's or dealt with him, this included myself. Some members even held Ebay auctions with all proceeds going to help Carlo's in his time of need. I remember watching the messages pour in and several times almost coming to tears. I'm sure I was not alone in that regard. It was AWESOME to be part of this community at that time.
I was looking for the thread to bring it back but could not find it in the archive's. If someone can find it and push it to the top it would be much appreciated.
With what these boards have become of late, I think all members of this message board old and new should take a few minutes to read part or all of that thread and realize why we are all here.
From a comedy standpoint, Psatan's " A CASE OF THE GOUDEY'S " a short story starring Mr. Mint was absolutely hysterical. Psatan was truly one of a kind.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

And also Carlos' 1972 Football Set thread...very heartwarming.

My vote goes to the thread about Carlos. A bunch of people that mostly had never met pulled together to help out a colleague in need. And not that it was expected, but Carlos wrote a note to most if not all thanking us, and it certainly wasn't a form letter. I"m glad he's back on the boards and feeling better.
I"d vote for the regional thread as well, as it dealt with cards I"m interested in, and I was able to learn a lot.
Most informative poster? Mike Schmidt (Marc S.) hands down.
Funniest Poster- Since Zardoz has mostly backed off the boards it makes PSatan a no brainer choice. Sure miss his posts. Caramels (BcD) was good too, but he got bounced off even faster than Psatan.
