Hi,

When did the 1 oz. silver bullion libertad series start? Are there any gaps or varieties in the series?

The original design was used on the silver 1921 2 and gold 50 Pesos coins that commemorated the centenial of independence. The gold design continued to be minted to 1947. The design resurfaced 1982-91 with the 1 onza (ounce) coin and then the 1991-95 series of 1/20, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 onza (ounce) silver bullion coins. The design was modified 1996-present and added 2 and 5 onza coins. All are still being issued every year as it has since its start. Gold versions have also been minted periodically since 1981 as well as a platinum 1/4 onza in 1989.
