    If it is the only coin in the roll it can have "End Toning" on both sides

    In the "old days" we called this spotted, stained, and ugly. Today I guess it's called Gem Superb Monster Toned. Funny how word usage has changed since the internet, huh?

    I don't consider it "toned". It's just UGLY.

    Congratulations on your new coin. Remember, it doesn't matter what I, or anyone else thinks about it. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with it.
    BTW, I think you can be pretty sure no one has altered it. It looks original to me. Wish I could say that about every coin I've ever bought.
