Any info on the first two Topps cards ever made?

Saw this when scouring the topps website

How long has Topps been making trading cards?
After starting as a gum company in 1938, Topps added trading cards in 1950 to try and enhance gum sales. That year, Hopalong Cassidy and Frank Buck "Bring 'em Back Alive" cards were issued. The following year, the first baseball cards were published.


How much are the Cassidy and Buck worth in hi grade? I never heard of these cards and I thought it was really cool to learn that and would like to know a little more about them. Any scans?

That's a pretty odd thing for Topps to say on their own website. There were baseball players in the 1948 Magic set, though they were not current players and the set covered a wide variety of subjects. But it would be more proper to say that the first baseball SET was published in 1951.
