What better way to celebrate one's birthday than to hold a giveaway?? Thought so.

Just post your desire to win and you'll be entered. Winner must hold another giveaway within 30 days. Darksiders and wanna-be or closet Darksiders only. Closes in about a week.

I haven't chosen all the goods yet, but one will be an 1813 Half Stiver from British Guyana. There will be others, and most likely some Polish coins thrown in.

    I don't have pix because my scanner does a horrible job with copper, but here is the list of coins:

    1936 1/12 Anna - a beautiful red/brown copper from India
    1962 25 Ore - a beautiful bird reverse from Norway
    1951 1 Penny
    1952 1 Penny - both from New Zealand with another great bird reverse
    1947 1/12 Shilling from Jersey

    All three of the last have a beautiful purple toning over the red copper color!

    And the piece-de-resistance:

    1937 1/12 shilling from Jersey with doubling on the reverse date! Jester and I had discussed this coin before, but I declined to make an offer for it because I know he really likes error coins and I wanted him to keep this in his collection! I really don't know what to say for sending this, except thanks from the bottom of my heart!

    My package came today and all I can say is "wow." This giveaway really went above and beyond the call of duty, so thank you once again and happy birthday to 1jester!

    I'm happy to report all five have no duplicates in my collection and the Prussian coin is my favorite:

    JJ, that last coin is from India, but I don't know what it is. Perhaps I should have used it as a Challenge first, in order to ID it?image The huge Ceylon copper has some doubling on one side, if I remember correctly.

    Wierd. 20F below zero all week and today its +38F - go figure...I am on the eastern border of Washington State where we get this kind of weather but for the last week it has been snowing in Seattle!!!!!! rare over there.
