I had the chance to buy a fairly nice original 1739 crown not too long ago. This one seems to have a slight unnatural look about it on the obverse... perhaps it is in the scan/photo or my eyes are just playing tricks on me...wouldn't be the first time. It looks as if George II has a bright spots on his forehead, eye and nose... probably just glare. Lloyd is this yours by chance?

Yes it's mine - on Ebay now. I have a 1739 too in EF.... Much rarer than the 41. But they're all rare like this.

I think the glare is glare from the daylight.

Anyone wanting to enter the giveaway can go to Ebay and enter the suggested amount in the place bid box...... Winner gets the coin shipped free!!!

    I love cosmics laughing icon.....
