What is this?

  • First I've seen or heard of it but it appears to be a legitimate 'fantasy' issue set. I doubt demand justifies such a high price, though.

Interesting! Never heard of the Royal House of Tessaglia (Thessaly) before. I wonder where they're located?

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5

"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
  • I have never heard of such a thing before. I guess it is summed up right that price reflects scarcity not demand.

The writing on the case is Italian, but I've never heard of Thessaly before, either.

Most odd. I've never heard of it before -- and why would an Italian state use Francs & Centimes? Maybe the guy really is descended from one of the petty crusaders who trashed the Byzantines for their own enrichment. It sounds, though, like a fantasy issue to me.

How much do you think your local dealer would offer you for the set?
