Kellogg Storage

New to the board!
I appreciate the die-hard K collectors…you guys are a superb group!
Looking for some help regarding my K's which recently found their way out of storage. I’d like to submit these to build on some other collections.
In the process of pull these out of the aged shoebox, most have curled (some bad, some not to bad). I understand this is the norm and wondered what suggestions anybody has to try and bring these back to life without cracking a rib or two. I sampled 12 cards by inserting them in Saver 1’s about a month ago. Of those, 5 cracked and the rest survived. Does anybody think the uncracked cards will make it through submissions? Or do I consider this as part of doing business.
Any other suggestions on how to bring the severe cards back to life. I’d hate to see these not survive. Not sure if I just need to write these off and move on or if they can be saved. I did think about dropping them in the oven for another lab test, but crossed that off the list..
What about proper storage, any suggestions? I know heat and cold is a factor, but how do most store raw cards in....saver 1’s, top loaders, or a simple old box?
Still pretty new to this so I appreciate any suggestions.

For the cards that are severely curled you may want to put them in Card Savers then place them on a carpeted floor. Put some heavy flat objects on them for a few weeks, and see if that helps. Try this with some experimental cards first in case you have a bad result. I've had good success with this, but it sounds like a lot of your cards are on their way out so be careful.
The only thing I could recommed about the weather is that during extreme cold periods the cards are more susceptible to cracking so submitting cards this time of year can be hazardous if you live in a cold weather area. The risk is low, but it's there so you should be aware of it.
I'm sure others here have some crazy K-theories to share.
Good luck!
I'll give it a try with a few spares and see how things turn out......Pete
I think that some of them live in the city as well.
Welcome to the boards!!!
You can also try an old phone book. Put a K card in a white envelope every 50 pages or so, close the book , and maybe add a couple novels on top of that. The curl will never leave 100%, but with the dry book and some weight...Maybe less curl. I echo what THEGEMMINTMAN says...Try a couple of low grade cards first.
Now...Someday , If you run crazy to get the phone # of your local pizza palace...don't forget..the K cards are sleeping inside the book!!!
Best of luck to 'ya!!

Actually we're a bunch of Hobbits living peacefully in the Shire.
It begs the Kwestion - Hypothetikally, if I owned only one of these kards, do I have a "Kellogg" kard, or a "Kelloggs" kard, or maybe even a "Kellogg's" kard?
Just wondered.

I may legally change it then. I could use some "worshipping"!

You could become...KING Lizard Kellogg's...
(That'll make Snap, Krackle, and Pop pay attention......)
