LINCOLN CENT COLLECTOR'S CLUB

For all Lincoln Cent collectors who may not be aware of it, I'd like to post a little publicity about the Society of Lincoln Cent Collectors (SLCC). This organization (coin club) was founded in 1982 by Sol Taylor who remains as its President today. Sol has published the Standard Guide to the Lincoln Cent, now in its 4th edition (1999). Membership is $15 per year USA and $25 foreign. The quarterly newsletter, Lincoln Sense is included with membership as is the opportunity to participate in the quarterly mail bid auctions.

I've been a member for 20 years and have gotten much enjoyment and knowledge from being a member. I've won a few of my Lincoln collection coins from his auctions over the years. If you LOVE Lincoln cents, I'm sure you'll love being a member. If you are currently a member, tell us about your experience.

Sort of ironic this shows up the same day that so many are ridiculing one of the great researchers of the series. I will look into joining as I am sure the membership includes none of those distracters of the earlier threads.

Really would like to be a member. I have just specialised me on lincoln cents. (bought two PCGS ms66 from the 40's)

Does anyone know if it is possible to pay by paypal? that's for me the only way to pay.

Surprisingly enough,I'm not a member.I should have joined years ago.I had heard of them,but just never did.I'll send him an E-mail.Is there any discrimination towards Lincoln Proof collectors only?

Don, Sol is very much interested in ALL aspects of Lincoln cent collecting. That includes all the die varieties. His book concentrates on the date & mintmark history of business strike and proofs, but it also has lots of information on history too. I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you become a member. Steve
