The Investors Club race

OK, I'm bored ... so here's a new little challenge / game for all the savvy buyers and sellers on the board. It could be fun (and educational) to watch unfold....
The theme of the game would be: Buy low - Sell high. Everyone starts out by buying $50 worth of cards on eBay. You resell those cards on eBay and use that money to buy more cards, list the new ones, sell them, buy new ones, etc, etc. The goal of course being to increase your pot each time.
The rules would be fairly simple.... each completed transaction would have to be posted (auction # or link) on the board so everyone could follow along. Your initial $50 worth of cards would have to be purchased from an auction that has not yet closed. eBay only - no outside deals. No packs, boxes, etc - single cards only. You can buy 1 card or 100 cards, but your eBay listing fees will count against your pot... so you'll have to think out your strategy. You have to sell the card in the same form you bought it in... graded or raw.
Since it's PSA's board, let's keep it to either raw or PSA graded cards (we don't want t2inc winning on the first day), also let's cap the years from between 1950 to 1999 .... (this will allow some vintage -vs- some new without getting too crazy).
Any other rules I didn't think of should fall under the basic principle of the game... a friendly competition to see who can pick out the best overlooked deals on eBay and flip them quickly for a higher profit.
I'm kind of torn between picking a dollar amount -vs- a date to determine the winner... but to get the ball rolling... let's say the first person to reach $800.00 wins. I'll even throw in an official Investors Club Certificate (with LOA ) for the winner.
This might be a little more complex than I've thought out thus far .... but I think it could be real interesting to watch the weekly buying and selling habits of collectors trying to play the market. Especially the differences between newer -vs- vintage, and raw -vs- graded.
Any takers??

according to my values and my needs. Nothing holds dominion over me, I stand alone as the ruler of my life.

Of course, krs could have a fantastic profit from the lot he bought for just over $200 that was discussed in another thread, which had a total SMR value of about $500. That one was also a bad listing job by a low feedback seller.

Just something to think about.

Jasp24 - Nice pick up and auctions... you almost doubled it.
Jeff - you're in charge of the tracking site
Skycap - you're in charge of PR and marketing... I like the slogan you came up with.
Nick - make sure you post the $50 set you buy - to break up and win the contest with
Carlos - valid point ... Maybe there's a way we could list the sales without showing the winning bidder?
I still think it could be a very interesting contest to watch unfold....
