investing 1933 gold sets???

im new & have just a little to spend. what is best way to invest in liberty gold sets. ONE pick a famous date like 1848 or 49 & buy all the coins i can from that year - then expand to all the mints. TWO pick a different key date from each coin & try & buy all the different mints from that year. THREE just buy the rarest date i can afford (even if it is VF/XF) for any coin any date, & forget about the set. thanks - a stooge selling his entire collection to buy gold..

There are a lot of different ways to approach Liberty gold. One of the most important considerations is your budget as these coins can be quite expensive. The most important thing to do is educate yourself before you plunk down any money on the table. Read the trade papers, subscribe to the various auction catalogs, and attend some auctions and coin shows. After you check everything out, then buy what you like, not what someone tells you that you should buy.

    Have fun with your coins!
