One of the first quarters to catch my eye in the upcoming Heritage Signature Sale was this 1935s:

In the Long Beach Signature Sale (Heritage, 2/2003) it sold for over $4000!

Evidently more than one person thought it would upgrade to a 67. Seeing how it is still in a 66 holder I assume the winning bidder attempted to upgrade a time or two, maybe three without any success. Did anyone who was there see this coin? If so I'd like your thoughts on it and what you think it's worth in it's current holder. Thanks in advance!
Rick
P.S. They really should have used the same pictures from the February Sale.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
Makes me want to crack out my 66 set and put em in an old folder for a couple of decades!

Good luck (now that you've alerted everyone)!

I'm sure that it's way beyond my means, also.
My white one will have to do for now!

Who knows. Maybe our rich buddy Colorfulcoins will give one of us a late Christmas gift. I haven't received mine from him yet, how about you?
Rick
Actually, my good buddy Craig(the "colorful" one , as opposed to the "of coins" one ) is holding an early Christmas gift for me. Seems he worked his 'MoJo" for me and got a "FB" designation on my '48-P. Now waiting for the late gifts,...some cross-overs!
Already recieved my Christmas gift(s) from my other buddy Craig(the "of coins" one)! See my '34-P, '35-P, '35-S, '48-D, '49-P,...
