Another Una is slated to be auctioned by Heritage during the NY International show in Jan. The last I checked it wasn't up on their site, but should be in a week or so. It contains a fairly high grade selection of British material.....so, keep your eyes peeled.
Hmm - warm house in MN, UNA; warm house in MN, UNA.
A no-brainer, I'm afraid. >>

Wybrit, I loved clicking you; it was so... personal.
Hmmmm, Manchester-I live in Manchester, oughta be good for something. On a serious note, it is the "ultimate attainable British coin", but from my point of view, well, does anyone own the copy and are they any good? I've seen them available from time to time but didn't know if I would like them.
One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by inferiors. – Plato

Laurent, gem Una's are readily available comparatively to say the 1841 or was 1845 Sov. for which I still pine!
However, finding a nice hairline-free, non-frost broken specimen is quite a challenge. But, if you wanted one there are big-time dealers that could locate one fairly quickly.
Now, there's just the problem of $30,000 plus.......beautiful coin, no doubt, but for that money I would prefer a well matched date run of VYH shillings, or need I say, a harem of red coppers.
<< <i>Never knew a wee mousie who didn't put away as much as he could. >>
Cheese please!!
Well, winter is upon my wee shoulders and my wee braat is mostly damp since the Bishop gave me tha boot!
But, a cuzin tells me that St. Pauls is hospitable if rather large....

To the point; I don't personally consider an UNA necessary for a type set even if I did win the Big Game on Friday. Having one doesn't personally interest me. OTOH, having a complete date run of red and red-brown Victorian coppers/bronzes in very choice to gem+ unc. condition makes my go into veritable spasms.

Mac, if you had the money for the one, you'd have it for the others. Never knew a wee mousie who didn't put away as much as he could.
