Are you putting together a set of quarter eagles? It seems expensive to do in 63. I noticed that a 1926 in MS 62 sold on eBay for less than half that. However $900 seems about right for a nice, sight seen MS 63 example.
I recently had a quarter eagle in XF. I was surprised at how nice it looked. The incuse design seems to provide some protection to the devices. That is a series I'd consider putting together in circulated condition. Anyway it is a great design.
If you are going to put together a set, I agree with Carl. If you just want a nice MS 2.5 Indian then the better buy is a ms64. You can get an MS64 in a Heritage Auction for about 1200 to 1300 right now. That is not that much more mony than a 63. And the upside potential is much higher if gold continues to rise. If gold does not continue to rise the down side is much more minimal with the 64 than the 63. JMHO
