....anything i need to know about this set? i have an OJ Simpson PSA 9, which i assume would be the most expensive card in the set. are there any low pop commons that i should avoid for the time being? the reason i ask is because i plan on making this a 2 or more year project, as my hockey card addiction leaves little extra cash for side projects. i might as well get the cheap, easy cards now and wait till the pops increase on rare ones before i pick em up (like the Horlen in baseball decreasing from $200+ to $50 now)

CHEERS!!
I started this set last year and was able to complete it in a short period of time.
The Kelloggs guys here are very knowledgeable and freely share their info. It makes learning the set quick and painless.
I found this summer that cards were plentiful and that buyers were not. I was able to add to the set cheaply buying many 9's off eBay at under $10 and a couple under $5. I even picked up some extras and will probably build a second set. With your plan, patience is on your side, you should have minimal trouble. The ONLY card that I have yet been able to find on 9 is Alworth. My kingdom for an Alworth. I was able to make some 8's of that one and the pop report says the 9 is a real challenge. I lost one on eBay at $80 this summer.
The 10's have been very competitve and I believe that most of them are off the market for now and few are being made. A full 9 set should be achievable in your timeframe.
