We just made a 2003 $1 MS70 PCGS First Flight - the population is one. What is the value for this coin?

Hi, Todd!

Given the strong quality of the Mint's commem issues recently, I'd anticipate a number of others appearing soon. As always, there seem to be some who want their 70's as soon as they show up, and don't want to wait for the prices to drop.

I think the only honest response to the question is to say "whatever the market will bear."

David Hall and Marblemark (as you know!) apparently have confronted the same question, more or less, and have decided to get their answer on Ebay.

Congrats on the 70, BTW!

id hold off for a while todd

as you well know by submitting that many, these are plagued by teenie black carbon spots...i looked thru about 60 when they came out on the dollars and halfs...both same...

so in essence you maynot see many 70's out of that commmem batch.

I would expect quite a few gold ones though

So far, the $1 appears to be a pop 1, while the half is at 9 with 17% of those submitted making the grade. I'd sell that sucker right now.

The pop report actually shows 0 right now, so I was assuming his just made example was a pop 1. I wonder how many will show with the next update?

I think if I had the coin I would put it for sale right now. Then get one later when the price drops out of the sky as more appear.

well a little checking is showing pop 3...am i mistaken...todd has one and dave has one...and I just got a pm from someone else who claims he has a dollar 70

lets see what report says when updated

I just registered this coin with the JB3 Colection and the pop shows 69-0 and 70-0.
