Was the 'PCGS thumb printer' ever caught?

The guy who was doing this should have been easy to catch...
It's sad to see otherwise beautiful brilliant MS65+ coins with a huge thumb print on them.
Here is another one on ebay right now Thumbed Walker
I can't believe in this day of litigate thy neighbor that PCGS hasn't been sued over this.
I also can't believe that the worst thing that probably could happen to the As$H0le doing this
was that he got fired. What a joke.

  • Speaking about "Thumbed" coins...I had a "Thumb" job on a sharp 1880/79 GSA C.C. Morgan in the original slab. It's the only real distraction(s) on the coin; hence, the LOWWWWWWW grade of 63. I guess they were playing "Thumbs on" games a long time ago too...image
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

Well when he is I think he should be left to the victims for justice. image

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • you are making a bad assumption

frequently 'prints' do not show for months after they have been left on the coin

sometimes years when toning surrounds/enhances the print

to assume they came from PCGS is wrong - all you can say is now they are in a PCGS slab

it might have been visable when slabbed and graded accordingly
