After seeing this happen many times to board members I started putting text on our pictures to discourage this type of activity.....I'm sure they'll find a way past that if they have not already
Even right down to where you can see the Blue ink pen reflecting through the slab on the obverse and the light bulb lettering on the reverse of the coin.
It was dead this morning along with another coin auction the seller had going.
Looks like the Emails worked. Also I know he got a Email from one of the people that had bid on the coin. The bidder thanked me for the notification I gave him about a Scum Bag seller.
I actually wonder if sometimes people list items they do not have yet - and think they might have by the time the auction closes or gets paid for.
This is similar to coin dealers advertising other peoples stock in their inventory isn't it?
He starts the auction - if he can snipe/get the original at a good price, he lets his run - if he can not get it or his rouse gets noticed he shuts down the one he had started.
Another example is RRKay has a thread about a Teletrade pattern auction - if you bought a coin last night, and use their pictures - start your auction - yo should have the coin n hand by the time your auction closes-
I am not saying I agree with this, but it would sure increase the turnover and lower the value of inventory on hand

That's a good idea. I guess it's time we all go through the extra trouble of doing that.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

If you are the highest bidder, you can just pay him, and since you already own the coin, you can probably get him to waive the shipping cost.
