Jefferson Collectors...Is this right?

Not my coin but I'm sure its on everyones "favorites" .

I see this as a pop 1/0 coin in no-steps with none is MS66 FS.
1963-D PCGS MS66

It is nice looking, but is a MS65 in my book. The color must have blinded the graders from the deep marks on Jefferon's cheek. I own a MS65 that lacks both the marks and unfortunately the wild colors.

The colors must have given the coin the bump from, IMO, a low end 65/64 coin.

Does PCGS even consider color in the grade? That's a big nick on the cheek.

That may be 66 color, but it's a 64 coin...

Congrats to Greattoning for getting the coin....but I would think a pop 1/0/0 coin would be a monster. I agree on everyone's grading. The only Mint State 66. Maybe it is.....we'll see. Still a nice coin to own.

Here's a '64-D in 66 non-FS for comparison. It was the best coin out of 3 original rolls, and I had no doubt that it would be a 66. It's one of the flashiest nickels I've seen for any date in the '60's.
