    JrGMan,

If you click on this link you'll find PCGS Registry Sets. There's something there for almost everyone's collecting habits and more are scheduled to be added.

You can only use PCGS graded coins and you can register your coins in as many sets as you like.

    Have fun!

    welcome to the boards JrGMan2004

registry sets can be many things - inventory, comparison, game between the perserverance and coin time short but rich - to see who can get the best set, following the 'rules or guidelines' set by PCGS

    Oooh. I know this one.

    It's a marketing strategy.

  • Another one new to the forums here ... I've setup several registry sets over the last few months and was wondering when the 2003 coins will become regular parts of the sets instead of just 'optional'

    Thanks!
  • Thx all for your answers... maybe in the future I'll be able to post a registry set... but, unfortunately, I'm still in High School with a small collection that's Retail Worth about $150, and I still got college to get through... maybe when I'm makin some nice money as a Network Administrator I'll be able to =D And thx for the welcome!

As for the value/size of your collection, it'll come in time.

As long as you have 1 PCGS slab, you can post a registry set somewhere
and get some practice going through the motions

some sets do not have many coins either - a proof set has just 5 coins for the recent years

  • Only problem, I have yet to buy any slabs, much less a PCGS slab... maybe at the FUN Convention I will... all depending... I'll be looking for a 1926-S Mercury in VF... but, only a $50 coin... or maybe a 1931-D Mercury in XF-AU... so... I might find one slabbed, I might not... guess we'll see... but I'm not gonna spend $30 to slab a $30-$50 coin just so I can start a registry set...
