Today I received a great package filled will Greek coins (and one Dutch coin). They aren't as ugly as he led me to believe.

    Constantinos Kanaris : pirate-looking indeed . He was an admiral during the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman empire in the 1820s image

    It's a nice little coin. Evern better in person I think. I just edited out 2 little spots on it.

    This coin has always gone unnoticed and unappreciated by most Greek collectors. I'm looking at your picture and I've already reconsidered: imagine what you can do with better coins if you can create magic with this one ! I hope to see more pictures from your birthyear (other countries). Such a shame to be born in 1980 ! Do you have any idea how much better (and cheaper) were the coins of past decades? image

    where do you get your cardboard 2x2's? Most of the ones you sent were nice and slim with a nice tab with an embossed crown on it at the top. The staples were nice and small too, and in the case of one it had no staples.

    What's the secret?

    I found this one interesting from a historical standpoint I guess. I especially liked the first coin though, nice simple reverse image, nicely done portrait. Great little small coin.
    This however looks like it was truck on an odd planchet or something. Is this common?

    Darkhorse.. at the second obverse image of 1 draxma coin is depicted Brigantine and you made it really nice looking!
