Whoa! You've had bad experiences with him, I take it? I've bought a handful of ungraded cards from him, some of which were liberally graded, but I just kinda chalked it up to the typical eBay experience. Was that just the tip of the iceberg?

  • Did Crazycanuck do his hosing on or off Ebay?

He was an equal opportunity hoser. This is the tip of the iceberg. Here's my experience Mine is tame compared to some of the other stuff I have heard.

I have had only positive experiences with them but I have heard of so many people who have been taken. My transactions were never more than $200, so perhaps that is why they always sent me my merchandise. Alan - Has the case been resolved or are you still out almost $2600?

He finally sent payment via money order to cover the bounced check...from what I have heard $2600 was small change compared to other horror stories.

  • ALL my experiences with him where great. I had many but they are now somewhat dated. I know what he did to others in some rather big transactions and that kinda says it all. Somewhere Jason must've got into financial trouble.

The beauty of EBAY is that you can come back under crazycanuckltd....and keep right on trucking!

  • Mine is a long story with CC, but I'll keep it short...Almost two months ago, I brought about 750 dollars in two cards (Art Ross and Vezina, C55s). Never sent cards, I guess he never had them to begin with. His reply was that he could send me a nice looking Orr rookie instead, which I declined for obvious reasons.

I literally had to threaten him with a US and Canadian postal complaint, along with E-bay fraud as well, before he would positively respond. I gave him a deadline as to when I would contact all legal authorities. Only then he expressed mailed a money order for the full amount.

Needless to say, I feel lucky I got my money back, but I'll never buy from him again. What a terrible experience.

here are 2 checks he bounced to me. I never sent in the 3rd for obvious reasons. I got lucky and got my money back from my credit cards since I paypaled him from a credit card. paypal did nothing! this is a pretty common pattern for him

I still wish he would join the board and post pictures of the house he is building with all the "borrowed" money. image
  • He is not a good person to deal with. I had a $400 (large for me) transaction and they never sent item. Got my $ back thru Paypal though.
  • I only emailed with him. He seemed somewhat unclear when he was writing in the email, so I did not do business with him. If he tried to steal from you grillo with the c55 cards, I wonder what he did to Alfredstevens with the c55 set he sold to him for $3000.
  • I'm not going to say he is a thief like a couple of the people that either didn't deal with him, or had good experiences with him. I never bought from him, so I cannot say he is a thief or an honest person, just that I did not do business with him because he seemed a little weird in his emails. I am not going to share stories with him that are not mine and accept them for fact acting as if they were my experiences.
