Congratulations to Marc and Veronica Schoenen

Congratulations to Marc Schoenen(Mike Schmidt) and his wife Veronica on the birth of there first child--Andrew Robert--22 inches long and weighing 9 lbs, 3 oz. Sounds like everyone is doing well.

    Awesome Marc. Our sons will practically be twins as my wife is due a week from today. She went 4 days early last time and is ready to go.

    Thank you all for the well wishes -- we are certainly blessed to have such a wonderful addition to our family.

    The baby was born in PA. My wife, after bravely laboring naturally for nearly 25 hours, had a C-section after our birthing team determined the baby was too big to fit past some inopportunely-placed bones. (pesky skeleton always gets in the way, doesn't it?!)

    As for taxes -- no big worries, anyway. Not like I'm working, so just some capital gains that has been funded my humble existence since I left the working world.

    We are so excited about what the next 18+ years will bring. And now I don't have to worry about him dating, either ;-)

    Thanks again for the well wishes. No better way in the world to postpone final exams.

    Congratulations, Marc. My son was born at holiday time as well....January 1, 2000. By the way, I did follow through on naming him Michael, although I was shot down on Michael Jack.

    Enjoy the early days...they disappear quickly!

    Great news Marc. We had two during my stint in grad school (many years ago image). Work hard at school, but pay as much attention to the little one as you can. Its a great time.

    Man Mikeschmidt your wife deserves a 2 week vacation of her choice, when she's up to it for having to go through both labor and then a C section. She got the worst of both worlds, she is a warrior. I'm sure glad I'm a male, once you see a women go through labor, you realize they are much tougher than any man I know. My wife is due with #2 any day now, and her worst nightmare is to have to start labor the normal way, then have to go though a C section to finish the deal. She wants a C and might get it because said kid is already 8lbs and still chillin in mom. Good luck with the baby, tons of work nobody ever tells you about, but well worth it...............................NHLfightguy
