Soooo...what do you think? What grade???

    My very uneducated guess would be XF. I can't tell much by those scans. I can't tell if it's been cleaned, either.

    Sorry about the scans.....I have no digital camera until Christmas....Yes it's a gift...LOL!
    No cleaning on this coin....just poor scansimage

    I lightened the picture up 'cause I thought it was too dark. The white specks are from the scanner bed....blasted!image

  • IMHO, Grading can most be judged by the amount of detail on the harp designs as well as the number of full 'dots' at the bottom ends of the harp strings.

  • For Irish coins I use the following site quite a bit:
    grading images of irish coins

    associated grading scale

    I would say XF-45 based on the scans, but as you said the scans are not as good as the coin so the grade may be higher.
