BIG Thanks to the best asset in the Washington Quarter market.

I just recieved yet another upgrade from the best collector to hit the Washington Quarter series since Benbow and Green. Aside from the great dealers we have here on the board (like Bob Z., David S., & Mitch S.), I don't know anyone else that submits more and sells more to other members than Craig(Man of Coins) Norris. He is one of The Most Honest and Fair persons with whom I have delt. Craig has also developed quite the eye for Washingtons and, lucky for me, has made more than a few dupes and upgrades. When his set is finally finished, I have no doubts that it will rank with the best "World Class Sets"! Best of Luck, Craig, in achieving that goal and, again, a BIG Thanks to one "World Class Act"!

my #10 set. You can see how many came from Craig, and you can guess where the '39-S came from. image
I also see that "The Schiera Collection" just benefitted from this fine "Asset"! image

Don: Here, here. No question of Craig's integrity and "ambassadorian" qualities. image

And, not to "hijack" the thread, but, could I also mention another neat observation. Take a look at what is going on right now with (3) great collectors "batlling it out" for the #3 position in the MS Silver Wash Quarter Registry (after you cross off the Windy City collection which is being auctioned off at Heritage next month). You have Howard Houston just updating and moving into a dead heat tie with a forum member (who just changed his name of the collection to the "quarter collection" motif and I will respect his privacy and not mention his name here) and Tom Sheira right on the heels of the two of them, also recently updating. Incidently, Howard is also #2 in MS clad quarters at this time with a monster collection and neither myself, Craig, nor the current other #1 collector have any such clad collection, so at this time, Howard also has the very finest PCGS 1932-1998 global Registry collection of anyone (once PCGS adds that all important category, Howard's decade long work will show more clearly)! Good job Howard (I know you occasionally read these boards when your busy schedule permits). image

This is also what I was mentioning last week on another thread. Often times, when great collections sell (as 3 top Wash quarter collections will have sold within a 6 month period following FUN), it only inspires collectors to pursue the coins even stronger, as chances to acquire great coins like the ones being offered recently do not happen every day. I expect the FUN auctions of Wash quarters to be very strong overall and I personally "kept my powder dry" by skipping Baltimore just to be strong at FUN in this series. image

Dang I heard there was more than enough powder to go around in Baltimore as it was!

I am so glad I never posted my quarter set on the PCGS registry system.

One of the PCGS MS67 Quarters that I purchased from Craig
was still registered with PCGS in another set.
When I tried to add it to my set, I could not.
I notified Craig about the problem, and within HOURS,
I was able to add the coin to my registry set.
This is just an example of one man helping another, when asked.

  • Hey Danny,

Welcome aboard the "Washington Express"! image
Nice to see your newly added set at #15. I expect and welcome the added competition, as I know that your set will be advancing upward.
As for your problem with registering a cert #, it happened to me once with one of Craig's coins. I love when that happens as it confirms that it was part of his set. His "cast-offs" are superior to most others available. Can you just imagine the magnificence of his set when complete! image
Of course, Craig "fixed" the problem immediately. I know that he would never knowingly cause anyone any hassles.

Again, Welcome. (just don't pass me too quickly! LOL) image

    Craig,
You are most deservingly welcome. image
