PhotoEngraved Lion

Just got these in yesterday. Although the images look brown, the coin itself is silver, and the images has been photo-engraved on the surface. Really cool, and the first ones I have seen like this image

  • Very interesting - the photengraving - does that make the picture actually into the coin rather than added to the surface?

Photoengraving is kind of like what they do with a printing plate. I believe the image is etched right into the surface of the metal, but I could be WAY off base image
