What the heck is going on?

I have two outstanding eBay auction payments. That is, two high bidders have not paid for the auction they won. Now I look and both are NARUimage One was for a $200+ coin and the other a $40 coin. Geez, my first non-payers and they are both at the same time.

  • Sorry to hear that, it's happened to me a few times and I know it sucks.
  • Maybe they spent their Christmas money?

I had this happen to me recently. The buyer did eventually pay me, it turned out.

Keep sending them emails. You might yet be paid.

I mainly want the buyer of the $200 coin to pay up. The other buyer got the coin at a screaming good price. If she doesn't pay its OK.

Good point. In fact I vaguely remember being the first to make that point!

You may end up with the coin if you want it Terry.

  • What's the big deal? - it's hapenning to me every week... recently sold a 1746 V/U Farthing for £70... As the auction ended the guy emailed me to say he couldn't see the over strike on the image - how did he know it was there? I told him of around 80 dealers who could verify it and haven't heard from him since... A nice breach of contract suit would be good sport...

What's bad about this is that I'm stuck with the coin for a few weeks - I dare not put it back out yet.

And I told you recently about that tosser who went naru with a $1400 bill to me... but I now have his 1895 1/2d and his $29... image

If it's after 14 days (I think), file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert with eBay. After another few weeks or so you can then file a request for credit on the fees from the two auctions. You could also do a 'second chance' on the $200 undebidder (if not already).....or, I would accept whatever is as my Christmas Swap!! imageimageimageimageimage
