I think I wasted $49.95 on this book!

I just bought a copy of the new grading guide "Helen Keller's Guide to Grading US Coins" here are a few samples:

"The following is an example of a Morgan Dollar grading MS-66, note the lack of marks on the cheek and eagle's breast."
image

"Here is a 1913 T1 Buffalo in AU-55, note the slight flatness on the hip of the buffalo."
image

"This coin has suffered from harsh cleaning, note the hairlines in the following photo."

Should I return the book?

No, I think it could be very useful when shopping eBay, or prior to an ACG or NTC submission... image

Um, not exactly the best taste here...

At first I was mystified by what Neil found distasteful. I thought he might be defending ACG or NTC, until I read the thread over. image

He meant to call it "Coin Grading by Braille Method". image

Yeah, when your older brother is legally blind you take these things a bit differently...

I am not making fun of people with vision problems here, rather I am making a statement about the way some people grade coins.
