Indian Rupee Opinions

A fellow from India sent me this note and photos:

'I have 2 coins ....one is east
india company's 1 rupee with the picture of queen
victoria flowing hair. I sent u both head side and
tail side in the picture. And the second coin which i
think it's a error coin because it's print on only
head side, on it's tail side it's just a print of head
side. I think that's an error that it's just printed on
only head side. Can u plz explain more about this
coins and give me a good selling price of this 2
coins.'

While not the clearest msg I'd invite any comments or help in response. The 1st coin is on the left, top and bottom while the 2nd 'error' coin is on the right, top and bottom.

I can't offer any constructive advice but it looks very strange to me. Is the fella trying to sell it to you?

Isn't that what they call a brockage?

Very interesting! And they both look to be in pretty decent shape.

The 'error' coin looks interesting but I don't know enough to be able to say it's a genuine mint error. The other looks very nice too. He seems to be looking to sell them.
