my first npn response

I got my first card back from the npn addresses. It's a 2003-04 fleer Ex shaquille Oneal #48. It seems small but I have to start somewhere. Oh, by the way, since I only collect football, it's for sale/trade.

What's an npn? I saw a post earlier with some addresses but didn't know what it was. Anyone help me out?

There is quite a lot of talk going on over at the Buy Sell & Trade forum about these things. I believe it offers people the opportunity to send in an index card with address to a company who then in return will send you a sample from a certain product. From what I have read, people have varying degrees of success.

Ok, I saw a post earlier with a link to all the addresses. Do they have to be hand written? I recently broke my right arm in a parachuting accident and can't write. I can hunt and peck on the keyboard though

Red - yes, they have to be handwritten. It's their way of keeping people from sending requests in en masse. However, you could get a friend to do it for you, as long as you don't ask them to prepare too many cards and envelopes (although if it's a card collecting friend, he may be more willing to help). I received 4 NPN responses today, and am posting that to an existing thread on the B/S/T board.

Based on the "rules" not all will send you something. Its the luck of the draw.
I saw the thread from a few weeks ago and as a goof sent in 20, 10 w/ Fleer & 10 w/ Topps, all different products.
It will be interesting to see what my $7.40 in stamps can bring back to me...jay
